This website has been developed as a tool for research, teaching and learning about American History by the Center for Public History and Digital Humanities at Cleveland State University in cooperation with the Educational Services Center of Cuyahoga County. The two institutions have partnered on two Teaching American History grants that have provided intensive, long-term professional development for teachers in our region about national themes in American History, but with Ohio and local history connections.
The sites featured at this website represent some of the best resources for teaching about national, Ohio and local history. They are not meant to be a comprehensive listing of all history resources, but they are those being used by faculty, teachers and students in their classrooms as they teach and learn important concepts of historical thinking and conduct research as historians by using primary resources.
